Does Space City Speech accept insurance?
Space City Speech does not accept insurance, however, Superbills are provided upon request to receive out of network benefits from your insurance if available, Clients are responsible for verifying available benefits and requirements. We do take all major credit cards and HSA accounts.
What does community based mean?
Space City Speech is a community based practice, meaning we see clients in a variety of settings. We offer options for virtual, in your home, in your child’s daycare, and in your child’s daycare. We also offer sessions at our convenient Heights office, 726 W. 25th St. Houston, TX 77008.
What areas do you serve?
We currently offer services in The Heights, Oak Forest, Spring Branch, Montrose, Medical Center, Rice Village and Museum District. Our virtual services allow us to serve families throughout the state of Texas.
What do you treat?
We currently treat speech sound disorders, language disorders, social pragmatic language disorders, fluency, cognitive deficits, swallowing disorders, and a variety of myofunctional disorders. We have a wonderful referral network for areas we do not currently treat.

What does this process look like?
We will start with an hour-long evaluation that consists of a combination of parent interview, observation, and direct assessment. This will help us determine your child’s strengths and areas of need, which will drive goal making and creation of a personalized plan of care. If recommended, we will start therapy right away. The frequency and number of sessions will be determined during this evaluation.
Why Teletherapy?
Through virtual services we are also able to provide parent coaching sessions. These are wonderful to supplement school based services or as a stand alone service to teach parents how to best support their children at home.
